Elaine M. Fegely Kurtz, 71, nursing school grad, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother
Elaine M. Fegely Kurtz, 71, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at her home in Jupiter, Fla. She was a former long-time resident of Ephrata.
Elaine was the wife of A. Gary Kurtz, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Mertztown on Sept. 17, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Caroline (Knappenberger) Fegely.
Elaine was a 1963 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School, and graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1966. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all.
In addition to her loving husband, Elaine is survived by her son: Andrew Kurtz; her daughter: Kathleen Frank, wife of Daniel Frank, of Jupiter, Fla.; two grandsons: Dane and Braden Ventura; and her sister: Nancy Johnson of Davie, Fla.
A memorial service was held Feb. 25 at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home in Jupiter, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
