Fern Elizabeth Stoner, 102, Manheim grad, Wiest Memorial Church member, enjoyed cooking
Fern Elizabeth (Meashey) Stoner, 102, of Denver, passed away Friday, Feb. 17, 2017, at Ephrata Manor.
She was born in Manheim to the late Paul Anthony and Sarah Venetta (Vogel) Meashey, and was the wife of the late Daniel R. Stoner, who passed away in 2006.
Fern was a graduate of Manheim High School and a member of Wiest Memorial Church in Schoeneck. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, crocheting, table games, and cooking for her family.
Fern is survived by four children: Daniel R. Stoner, husband of Joyce (Showalter), of Denver; Joyce E. Engle of Genesee; Sharon V., wife of R. Lamar Hollinger, of Mountville; and Kenneth P. Stoner, husband of Marcia (Arnone), of Havana, Fla.; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; two great-great-great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law: J. Marlin Miller of Lancaster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son: Larry B. Stoner; a daughter: Bonita F. Miller; a son-in-law: Clyde Engle; a great-grandchild; and a great-great-grandchild.
Services were held Feb. 21 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Shannon Hollinger officiating. Interment took place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex.
