Frances M. Martin, 88, member of the Groffdale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference
Frances M. Martin, 88, of East Earl, formerly of Amishtown Road, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2017, at Fairmount Homes after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late Daniel B. and Mary B. (Martin) Nolt and was the second wife of the late Weaver W. Martin who died March 4, 2008.
She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Frances is survived by five step-children: Rebecca R., wife of Harvey Fox, of Curtis, Wisc.; Henry R., husband of Martha (Sauder) Martin, of Lititz; Mary R., wife of Titus Zimmerman, of Lititz; Weaver R., husband of Mary (Weaver) Martin, of New Holland: Anna R., wife of Ammon Weaver, of Lititz; a step-daughter-in-law: Mary Ella Martin of Wisconsin; 12 siblings: John, husband of Barbara (Sensenig) Nolt, of New Holland; Isaac, husband of Rebecca (Hoover) Nolt, of Latham, Mo.; Lena, wife of the late Amos Hoover, of Denver; Jennie Nolt of Blue Ball; Susan, wife of the late Jacob M. Zimmerman, of Roaring Springs; Rebecca Nolt of Lancaster; Elam, husband of Sarah (Zimmerman) Nolt, with whom she resided; Hettie, wife of Charles Sagner, of New Holland; Luke, husband of the late Alma (Burkholder) Nolt, of Ephrata; Edna Nolt of New Holland; Ida, wife of Noah Martin, of Ephrata; Menno, husband of Mabel (Burkholder) Nolt, of New Holland; and a sister-in-law: Eva (Shirk) Nolt of Landis Homes.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law: John R. Martin; three brothers: Henry, Ammon and Weaver Nolt; a sister: Lydia Nolt; and two infant siblings: Amanda and Adam Nolt.
Services were held March 22 at the Groffdale Mennonite Church, Leola, with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
