Frederick F. Marafioti, 51, auto dealership manager, fan of the Yankees and Raiders, dog lover

Frederick F. Marafioti, 51, of Ephrata passed away at home Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 3, 2015.
Born Sept. 4, 1964 in New Hartford, N.Y., he was the son of the late Fred S. and Marie A. Leone Marafioti.
Fred was a 1982 graduate of New Hartford High School and earned an associate’s degree in business management from Mohawk Valley Community College. He worked in food service as a director and manager early in his life. He obtained a food service management position working at Franklin & Marshall College, which brought him and his family to Lancaster County. While in Lancaster, he switched careers and began working in the automobile industry as a sales person and eventually in management at various dealerships. Fred enjoyed fishing in his earlier years, golfing, was an avid Oakland Raiders and New York Yankees fan, and never passed up a good cigar. He enjoyed his dogs, Buddy and Butch.
Fred is survived by his sons: Matt J. and Mark A. Marafioti; and their mother: Lori B. Puleo, all of Lancaster; sisters: Mary Dimitriadis of New York Mills, N.Y.; Antoinette (Laney) Smith; Francine (Joe) Long; Lisa Cardarelli, all of New Hartford, N.Y.; and Deborah (Chris) Powell of Rochester, N.Y.; brothers: Patrick of Clinton, N.Y.; and John of New Hartford, N.Y.; many nieces and nephews; and companion: Mary Kelley of Ephrata; and her granddaughter: Kassidy.
Fred was preceded in death by his sister: Sharon Marafioti.
Services were held Nov. 8 at Melanie B. Scheid Funeral Directors and Cremation Services, The Gundel Chapel, Conestoga, with Pastor Michael Yowler officiating. He was buried in St. Ann Catholic Cemetery, Phoenixville.
