Garvice C. ‘Terry’ White, 83, Ephrata, evangelist and pastor, sang on PTL Club, Grande Ole Opry

Garvice C. “Terry” White, 83, of Ephrata, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was born in San Marcos, Texas, to the late Garvice C. Sr. and Charlotte (O’Bryant) White and was the husband of the late Wanda (Reynolds) White who passed away in 2013.
Terry attended Harvest Fellowship Church, Stevens. He had worked along with his late wife as evangelists and pastors at the Tabernacle of the Congregation in Austin, Texas. He was also a professional singer who sang at and was employed by the Grand Ole Opry and PTL Club Ministry.
He is survived by his sons: Mark C. White, husband of Ida White of Ft. Worth, Texas; Peter J. White, husband of Gigi Barrada White of Houston, Texas; Jimmy White of Midland, Texas; Terry White of San Antonio, Texas; daughters: Lori White Martin, wife of Clint Martin of Ephrata; Cheryl A. Conklin of Austin, Texas; grandchildren: Jason Taylor, Jonathan, David, Justine, Jackie, Missy, Erica, Allison, Mallory and Megan White; Alanna, Ellie and Jayden Martin; eight great-grandchildren; a brother: James R. White, husband of Jan White of Austin, Texas; and a sister: Agnes White Britton of Martindale, Texas.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a son: Jack Conklin.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation Saturday, Nov. 22 from 6 to 6:30 p.m., followed by a celebration of Terry’s life at 6:30 p.m. at Harvest Fellowship Church, 34 W. Church St., Stevens, with Pastors Eugene Weaver and Mel Weaver officiating.
