Gloria A. Bauman, 74, Ephrata schools teacher’s aide, loved cooking for her family

Gloria A. (Rollman) Bauman, 74, of Ephrata, passed away after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family, on Monday, June 19, 2017, in Ephrata.
Gloria was born in Ephrata to Monroe and Mary (Smith) Rollman on May 29, 1943. She was married to the late Chester W. Bauman.
She retired from the Ephrata Area School District where she worked for many years as a teacher’s aide and playground supervisor. She won the Mother of the Year award for 55 consecutive years, from her loving family. Gloria loved to cook all of the kids’ favorite meals. The family agreed that there is not enough paper to list all of their favorite dishes.
Preceding Gloria in death are her parents; two brothers: Gerald Rollman and Earl J. Rollman; and a grandson: Dylan Garman.
Surviving Gloria are six children: Scott Bauman (Jackie) of Ephrata; Robbie Bauman of Ephrata; Jodi Kinsey (Alan) of Gap; Kelli Hart (Brian) of Marietta; Corie Bauman (Rebecca) of Lititz; Jason Bauman (living at home) in Ephrata; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Robert W. Rollman of Ephrata; Lucille Miller of Ephrata; Jean Adkins (Jack) of Radford, Va.; James M. Rollman of Bremerton, Wash.; Carl E. Rollman of Stevens; and Terry L. Rollman (Kay), of Lancaster.
Services were held June 23 at Gravenor Home for Funerals, Ephrata, with Chaplain Don Kinnier officiating. Interment followed at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata.
