Gloria G. Ensinger, 84, Farmer’s First teller, missionary, library volunteer, animal lover

Gloria G. Ensinger, 84, of Lititz, formerly of Akron and Ephrata, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 10, 2016, at Moravian Manor in Lititz.
Her loving husband of 39 years, the late Harvey L. Ensinger Jr., passed away Nov. 22, 1992.
Born in Ephrata, Gloria was a daughter of the late Luther and Anna Grabill.
She was a 1950 graduate of Ephrata High School and a member of First Church in Ephrata. Gloria was an active member of First Church, and went on various mission trips. She also volunteered at the Ephrata Community Hospital gift shop, and the Ephrata Public Library, and was a member of the Akron Women’s Club.
Gloria worked as a teller at the former Farmers First Bank in Ephrata from 1971 to 1997. During her retirement, she worked part-time at the former Akron Restaurant Gift Shop. She was an animal lover and enjoyed her many pets through the years. She liked to watch football and was a fan of the Steelers. Gloria also loved spending time with friends and family.
She is survived by two children: Anne M. Bucher, wife of David H. Bucher, of Reinholds; and Eric S. Ensinger, husband of Shauna A. Ensinger, of Lititz; five grandchildren: Ryan, Matthew, Christopher, Ashley, and Daulton; and two great-grandchildren: Willow and Silas, with one on the way..
Funeral services will be held at Gravenor Home for Funerals, 100 W. Main St., Ephrata, on Wednesday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Walter Carter officiating. Friends will be received by the family one hour prior to the service. She will be interred in Mellinger’s Cemetery, Stevens-Schoeneck.
