Grace L. Rohrer, 106, Ephrata native, Doneckers worker, volunteered at ECH, library

Grace L. Rohrer, 106, a resident of Lancashire Hall in Lancaster, formerly a longtime resident of Ephrata, passed away Wednesday, Jan 7, 2015, four days before her 107th birthday.

Grace was born in West Cocalico Township, daughter of the late Franklin H. and Lillie (Hertzog) Leininger.

A member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Ephrata, Grace had participated in the sewing circle and Lutheran women’s groups. Grace worked at the former Carillion Paper Box Factory, W. W. Moyer Co., and Donecker’s clothing store all of Ephrata. She also found time to volunteer at the Ephrata Public Library, Ephrata Community Hospital, and was a member of the Golden Years Club.

Surviving is Grace’s daughter: Wanda L. Amand of Columbia; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Grace was preceded in death by her former husband: Paul B. Rohrer; a son: Harold D. Rohrer; a daughter: Gloria Witmer; a grandson: Douglas Olney; and three sisters: Sallie Borry, Edith Garman, and Audrey Boughman.

Funeral services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
