Gudrun P. Slaymaker, 68, Ephrata, born in Germany, enjoyed cooking and gardening

Gudrun “Goldie” P. Slaymaker, 68, of Ephrata, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Heidelberg, Germany, to the late Georg and Irma Treiber and was the wife of Bradley J. Slaymaker.

Goldie’s friends and family were very important to her, she also loved to cook and garden.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son: Jimmy Schurr, married to Stephen Hershner of York; a daughter: Tina, wife of Anthony Tristaino of Ephrata; and three granddaughters: Alexandria, Daniella, and Lexi.

Services were held Jan. 19 at Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata. Interment followed in Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
