Harlan M. Martin, 67, Stevens, stone mason, father of five

Harlan M. Martin, 67, of Stevens, passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2015, at his residence.

He was born in Earl Township to Lena (Martin) Martin and the late David H. Martin and was the husband of Erma M. (Horst) Martin with whom he shared 43 years of marriage.

He worked as a stone mason.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by five children: Eileen H., wife of Curvin L. Wenger, of Dalton, Ohio; David H., husband of Sandra (Burkholder) Martin, of Lebanon; Gilbert H., husband of Shannon (Martin) Martin, of Stevens; Lafaye H., wife of Greg Musser, of Denver; Joel H., husband of Janita (Sensenig) Martin, of Denver; 26 grandchildren; 11 siblings: Ivan M. Martin of Richfield; Mary Ann, wife of Harry Garman, of Narvon; David M., husband of Wilma (Showalter) Martin, of New Bethlehem; Verna, wife of Reuben Reiff, of Mifflinburg; Lena, wife of Ivan Martin, of Mifflinburg; Earl, husband of Mary (Martin) Martin, of Mifflinburg; Ervin, husband of Darlene (Herman) Martin, of Richfield; Leroy, husband of Vera (Martin) Martin, of Shunk; Lloyd, husband of Marilyn (Groff) Martin, of Leola; James, husband of Thelma (Leid) Martin, of New Holland; and Allen, husband of Pauline (Zimmerman) Martin, of Swengel.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Arlene Martin.

Services were held Aug. 14 at Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin Martin officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
