Helen Gertrude Luttrell, 90, Cox’s Liquors managing partner, enjoyed volunteering, motor trips

Helen Gertrude (Cox) Luttrell, 90, of Ephrata, previously of Hyattsville, Md., died in Mathews, Va., surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 of natural causes. Helen was born Feb. 20, 1927 in New York City to the late Edward H Cox and Gertrude (Cox) Valentine.

She was a bookkeeper and managing partner of Cox’s Liquors, in Columbia Park, Md., and enjoyed motor trips and volunteering in the Ladies VFW Auxiliary

Helen was preceded in death by her husband: Garnett Luttrell; and sister: Margaret Peake.

She is survived by her sons: Gerald Luttrell of Severna Park, Md.; Gregory Luttrell of Sells, Ariz.; and daughter: Geraldine (Luttrell) Hartlove of Mathews, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grand children.

A celebration of life was held at the Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, Brentwood, Md., on Jan. 22. She was interred at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Brentwood.
