Irene Sensenig, 88, homemaker, member of Martindale Mennonite Church

Irene Sensenig, 88, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018 at her daughter’s home in Manheim, where she had resided for the past two and a half years. She had formerly lived on Frysville Road, Ephrata.

She was the wife of the late Miles Sensenig who died in 1974. Born in Earl Township, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Mabel Snader Weaver.

Irene was a homemaker and a member of the Martindale Mennonite Church.

Surviving is a daughter: Eunice S., wife of Clyde S. Peters of Manheim. She raised Alma N. Sensenig of Denver; and the late Rhoda N. Zimmerman, wife of Roland Zimmerman, of East Earl. She is also survived by: seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother: C. Irvin Weaver of Ephrata; and a sister-in-law: Mabel, wife of Harold Good of Reinholds. She was preceded in death by a brother Earl Weaver.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Feb. 1, at 10 a.m. at the Martindale Mennonite Church, 171 Hurst Road, Ephrata, with Bishop Daryl Weaver, Eugene Weaver and Luke Weaver officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
