Jack E. Roe, 69, Brownstown, U.S. Army vet, enjoyed trips to the beach

Jack E. Roe, 69, of Brownstown, passed away Nov. 9, 2014 at the Lebanon VA Medical Center. He was the husband of Carol (Lindsay) Roe.

Born in Newton, N.J., he was the son of the late Thomas and Verna Roe.

Jack loved people and enjoyed sharing his faith with others and vacations at the beach with his friends. Jack served in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife, Carol, Jack is survived by three daughters: Kelley Mowry, Diana Netherton, and Meaghan Roe; a son: Steven Roe; eight grandchildren; and his brother: Glenn Roe.

A memorial service will be held Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 530 Brimmer Road, New Holland. Condolences can be offered before the commencement of the services and immediately afterwards.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Lebanon VA Medical Center, where Jack received excellent care in his last few months of life. Donations can be mailed to: Lebanon VA Medical Center, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave., Building 1, Hospice Unit, Lebanon, PA 17042.
