Jacob John Lopez, 27, Ephrata, dedicated family man, enjoyed tinkering, skateboarding

Jacob John Lopez, 27, of Ephrata, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 28, 2015, in Morgantown.

He was born in Lansdale to John and Terry E. (Morgan) Lopez of Denver and was the fiancé of Kelly J. Tshudy.

Jacob had been employed by Timet in Morgantown for three years. He was a dedicated family man who simply loved life and lived it to the fullest. Jacob lived for his kids. Growing up he tinkered with everything which carried on to his adult years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fixing cars in his spare time. Some of his favorite things to do were skateboarding, shooting, and lifting. He did everything with passion and touched the lives of everyone that knew him.

In addition to his parents and fiancée, he is survived by his two sons: Kaydn Bently Lopez and Carter Owen Kautz; maternal grandmother: Betty Morgan of Lansdale; paternal grandmother: Milagros Lopez of Phoenixville; three brothers: Joshua John Lopez of Lansdale, Jordon John Lopez of Stevens, Jesse John Lopez of Oklahoma; and two nephews: Matthew and Caleb Lopez.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Road, Denver, followed by his funeral service at 12 p.m., with Rev. Keith Sweitzer officiating. Interment will take place in the Mellinger’s Union Cemetery.
