James N. White, 61, Meridian Products cabinet maker, enjoyed woodworking, NASCAR A

James N. White, 61, of Ephrata, passed away unexpectedly at home, on Monday, Nov. 7, 2016, with his wife by his side.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Norman E. and Esther (Hertzog) White, and was the husband of Heidi L. (Haller) White, with whom he shared 37 years of marriage.

James was a cabinet maker for Meridian Products of New Holland. He enjoyed woodworking; hunting; fishing; deep fishing; and going to the beach with his family, especially the Outer Banks. He was an avid pinochle player, along with his wife, since the early 70s. James was also a NASCAR fan, he especially liked Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Jr.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by his two sons: James A. White of Ephrata; John M., husband of Solange (Jacques) White, of Reading; five sisters: Janet, wife of Bob Orth, of Reinholds; Jean, wife of Ron Risser, of Denver; Jane, wife of the late Barry Hoshour, of Bowmansville; Joan, wife of Curt Unruh, of Denver; and Judy, wife of Paul Dubiansky, of Apex, N.C.

Services were held Nov. 12 at New Joy Brethren in Christ Church, Ephrata, with Chaplain Carl P. Griffin officiating. Interment took place in the Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery.
