Jonas Foundling, 97, served in British Army in WWII, property manager, father of two

Jonas Foundling, 97, of Ephrata, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at Lancashire Hall.

He was born in Portsmouth, England to the late Jonas and Florrie (Gaines) Foundling, and was the husband of the late Wendy Foundling, who passed away in March 31, 2008.

Jonas was a property manager. He was a member of Ephrata Blue Lodge #665 F. & A.M. He also served in the British Army during World War II.

Jonas is survived by a son: Bryce, husband of Gloria Foundling; a daughter: Pauline Fleming, both of England; four grandsons; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews, including Diane Swisher, with whom he resided for five years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife: Gwendoline Foundling; wife: Wendy Foundling; three brothers: Thomas, Edward and Frederick Foundling; and a sister: Hilda Brown of Ephrata.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
