Joseph Michael Gallo 46, formerly of Ephrata, HVAC tech, train collector, animal lover

Joseph Michael Gallo, 46, of Leola, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Lancaster General Hospital.

He was born in Philadelphia, the son of Robert F. Gallo and the late Rita (Karbow) Gallo.

Joe especially enjoyed his family and helping people. He was a Lionel Train collector, a Philadelphia Eagles fan, and enjoyed playing billiards. He was a real lover of animals, especially his dog, Colby. He worked as a HVAC Technician for various companies in the area.

Surviving are, his father: Robert F. Gallo and companion Carolyn Binder of Millsboro, Del.; a son: Joseph Michael Gallo Jr., at home, a daughter, Nicole, companion of James M. Giuca of Ephrata; a grandson: Anthony; companion: Lori Rack, at home; a sister: Geraldine Hynes of Cherry Hill, N.J.; a niece: Melissa Gallo of Pemberton, N.J.; a nephew: Sean Hynes of Cherry Hill, N.J.; an uncle: Robert Karbow of Philadelphia; and former wife: Lisa M. Parks of Ephrata.

In addition to his mother; he was preceded in death by a brother: Robert Gallo.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. If desired, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph’s memory to the Deborah Heart and LungCenter, 200 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015.
