Kathryn Musser Croft, Pancake Farm waitress, Girl Scout leader, family was her greatest joy

Kathryn Musser Croft entered into the kingdom of heaven on Thursday April 5, 2018.

Kay was born in Ephrata to the late Dorothy Buohl Musser.

For the past 55 years, she lived five doors from where she was born. She was a waitress for 59 years, 30 of those at the Pancake Farm in Ephrata. She was a member of Bethany UCC, and taught Sunday school for many years. Kay was also a Junior Girl Scouts leader in Ephrata.

Kay’s greatest joy was her children and family. She is survived by her children: Rick, married to Melissa Heming; Wendy, married to Michael Dickersheid; and Robert, companion of Robin Quiggle; 10 grandchildren: Shanna Croft, Abbie Dickersheid Faircloth, Dylan Croft, Derek Coy, Amber Coy, Nathan Franklin, Alexis Franklin, Christy Becker, Katie Singleton, and Kari Malmer; four great-grandchildren: Janessa Morales, Darian Rodriguez, Brailyn Brumbach, and Kyla Croft; a brother: Larry Musser; three sisters: Janet Martin, Doris Kuhn, Donna Bowman; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and two nephews.

“Do not mourn my death; but instead celebrate my life, because I loved my life.”

Services were held April 9 at Ephrata Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Rob Eshelman officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
