Kenton E. Peachey, 51, EHS grad, worked at Hershey Med. Center, mechanically inclined

Kenton E. Peachey, 51, passed away peacefully in the arms of those whom he loved on Sunday, June 19, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family, including his beautiful wife and three daughters.

Born in Ephrata, July 26, 1964, Kent was an only child of Chester E. Peachey and Nancy L. Peachey. He was a 1984 graduate of Ephrata High School.

Kent is survived by his best friend, soul mate and loving wife of 26 years: Karen E. Dolbin-Peachey, married on April 28, 1990, whom he met at a printing company in Ephrata; his three daughters: Alyssa M. Peachey, Krista N. Peachey, and Taylor N. Peachey. He was a loving husband and father.

Kent was employed at The Penn State Hershey Medical Center. He was a fighter who continued to work throughout his chemotherapy treatments and until his final admittance into the hospital. He loved his co-workers and was very proud of where he worked.

He was a hard-working man who loved to spend time at home with his family. His hobbies included building, woodworking, fixing cars, working with computers, and cooking. He was very mechanically inclined and loved “figuring things out.” He was the family handyman. Kent enjoyed working around the backyard, landscaping, and living in the house that he helped build.

A celebration of Kent’s life was held June 26 at The Hershey Free Church, Hummelstown, with Chaplain Dave Simmons officiating.
