Lance E. Royer, 83, Army vet, Moyer worker, enjoyed coin collecting, fishing, Green Dragon

Lance E. Royer, 83, of Narvon, passed away Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Conestoga View.

He was born in Ephrata to the late Frank and Edna (Keller) Royer, and was the companion of Margaret Ingram.

Lance was a laborer for Moyer and Gerber. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He served as a sharpshooter and marksman all over the world. Lance loved wrestling, and collecting coins and stamps. He especially enjoyed visiting Green Dragon and fishing.

In addition to his companion, Lance is survived by two daughters: Crystale L. Royer of Akron, Luella M. Sensenich of Leola; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a brother: Terry M. Royer of Akron; and three sisters: Charmaine G. Wenrich of Reinholds, Wanda L. Leed of New Holland, Vivian A. Garman of Ephrata.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Services were held May 8 at Stradling Funeral Home, Ephrata, with the Rev. Timothy Craven officiating. Interment took place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Conestoga View and Hospice and Community Care for their kindness and compassion during Lance’s stay.
