Lena R. Zimmerman, 49, Denver, mother of eight
Lena R. (Sauder) Zimmerman, 49, of Denver, died Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at her residence after a lengthy illness.
She was the wife of Roy S. Zimmerman. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of Adam M. and Lena E. (Reiff) Sauder.
Surviving in addition to her husband and parents are six sons: Nelson S. Zimmerman, husband of Melva B., of Stevens; Merlin S. Zimmerman, J. Roy Zimmerman, Alvin S. Zimmerman, Glenn S. Zimmerman, and Harlan S. Zimmerman; two daughters: Verna S. Zimmerman and Suetta S Zimmerman; a granddaughter: Kaylena Z. Zimmerman; six brothers: Adam R. Sauder, husband of Lydia H. Hoover, of Penn Yan, N.Y.; Melvin R. Sauder, husband of Dorothy M. Ringler, of Penn Yan, N.Y.; Elam R. Sauder, husband of A. Arlene Horst, of East Earl; Mahlon R. Sauder, husband of Susie Z. Burkholder, of Stanley, N.Y.; Leroy R. Sauder, husband of Earlene H. Nolt, of Lititz; and Steven R. Sauder, husband of Martha S. Zimmerman, of Elkton, K.Y.; and six sisters: Anna Mae Newswanger, wife of Harvey O., of Newville; Alta R. Hoover, wife of the late Paul M., of Bluff Point, N.Y.; Mable R. Zimmerman, wife of Dwight D., of Floyd, Iowa; Vera R. Martin, wife of John Z., of New Holland; Ella R. Burkholder, wife of David S., of Penn Yan, N.Y.; and Esther R. Sauder of Penn Yan, N.Y.
Services were held March 2 at Muddy Creek Mennonite Church, Denver, with Bishop Titus Martin officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery.
