Lizzie W. Weaver, 85, mother of six, ran quilt business, Springville Mennonite member

Lizzie W. Weaver, 85, formerly of 290 Wabash Road, Ephrata, died Nov. 12, 2015, at Fairmount Homes Retirement Community (Wheat Ridge section) where she was admitted two days prior to her death.

She was the wife of Titus N. Weaver, with whom she would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Nov. 23. She was born Feb. 10, 1930 in East Earl Township, New Holland. She is the daughter of the late Isaac and Elizabeth Hurst.

She was a homemaker and also kept busy for 47 years with a quilt business in her home. She dearly loved her family and will be lovingly missed by them all. Lizzie was a faithful member of the Springville Mennonite Church of Weaverland Conference.

Surviving are four sons: Glenn, husband of Irene (Zimmerman) Weaver; Paul, husband of Ada Mae (Weaver) Weaver; Melvin, husband of Alma (Martin) Weaver; Kenneth, husband of Darlene (Hurst) Weaver, all of Ephrata; two daughters: Esther, wife of Harold Sensenig, of Shippensburg; and Janet, wife of Jason Groff, of Stevens; 29 grandchildren; 61 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Phares W. Hurst of Ephrata; Amos W., husband of Martha (Sensenig) Hurst, of Lititz; and one sister: Lydia, wife of Paul Nolt, of Lititz.

She was preceded in death by a grandson; a great-granddaughter; three brothers: Reuben W. Hurst, Isaac W. Hurst, and Aaron W. Hurst; three sisters: Annie, wife of the late Michael Nolt; Frances W. Hurst and Edna, wife of the late Leon Martin.

Services were held Nov. 16 at Springville Mennonite Church, Ephrata, with Bishop Melvin Martin and Ministers Walter Martin, Wilmer Martin and Walter Zimmerman officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery.
