Louise DiMatteo, 81, Reinholds, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11 at Melech Hospice House, Tampa, Fla.

She was married for 35 years to the late Paul P. DiMatteo who passed away in 1988. She was born in New York City, daughter of the late Carmelo and Maria DiFranco (Amatucci). Louise retired as a nurse’s assistant from the Cocalico School District in 1998 where she served for a total of 22 years. Louise enjoyed traveling, cooking, helping others, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her companion: William Navarra; three sons: Philip DiMatteo, Victor DiMatteo and Anthony, married to Colleen (Hursh) DiMatteo; five grandchildren: Kayla, Tiffany, Christian, Tyler and Nina DiMatteo and one brother: Victor DiFranco. She was preceded in death by three brothers: Philip, Frank and Anthony DiFranco and three sisters: Frances, Margaret and Nancy.

Our family expresses sincere thanks to the staffs of the Florida Cancer Specialists, St. Joseph’s Hospital and Melech Hospice House for the loving care that they gave our mother.

A memorial service will be planned in the Pennsylvania area in the near future.
