Lydia B. Martin, 71, Ephrata, Dutch Maid worker, Martindale Mennonite member

Lydia B. Martin, 71, of Ephrata, died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2015, at Fairmount Homes after a lengthy illness.

She was born in Earl Township to the late Aaron and Lena Z. (Burkholder) Martin.

She was a member of Martindale Mennonite Church (Groffdale Conference). Lydia had been employed by Dutch Maid of Ephrata in the packing department for 23 years prior to retirement.

Lydia is survived by four brothers: Lawrence, husband of Mary (Nolt) Martin, of Ephrata; Aaron, husband of Esther (Weaver) Martin, of Mohnton; Harold, husband of Erma (Garman) Martin, of Greenwich, Ohio; Nelson, husband of Lucy (Hoover) Martin, of Ephrata; three sisters: Edna, wife of the late Marvin Fox, of Liberty, Ky.; Lena Mae, wife of Frank Hoover, of Ephrata; Susan, wife of Curvin Zimmerman, of Ephrata; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were held Nov. 23 at Martindale Old Order Mennonite Church, with Bishops Titus Martin and Eli Burkholder and Ministers Edward Burkholder, Emory Burkholder, and Leon Horst officiating. Interment took place in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
