Mamie L. Rissler, member of Weaver Pike Mennonite

Mamie L. Rissler, 86, of East Earl, passed away Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at her residence.

She was born in East Cocalico Township to the late Noah and Susie G. (Landis) Martin and was the wife of the late Melvin N. Rissler.

Mamie was a member of the Weaver Pike Mennonite Church.

She is survived by three sons: Christian M., husband of Virginia (Martin) Rissler of Hopkinsville, Ky.; Philip M., husband of Verna (Sauder) Rissler of Ephrata; Luke M., husband of Ellen (Eby) Rissler of Hopkinsville, Ky.; two daughters: Anna M. Rissler of East Earl and Amelia M. Rissler of Morgantown; 28 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Noah L., husband of Ida Mae (Stauffer) Martin of Ephrata and Nathan L., husband of Anna H. (Martin) Martin of Ephrata; three sisters: Sarah M., wife of Jesse Brubacher of Stevens; Naomi M., wife of Melvin Horst of New Holland and Susie M., wife of the late Marvin Habegger of Scottsville, Ky.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Elam M. Rissler; two grandchildren; a brother: Simeon Martin and two sisters: Irene Martin and Phoebe Weaver.

A viewing will be held Jan. 23 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Farm Crest Chapel, Fairmount Homes, 1100 Farm Crest Dr., Ephrata. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m., at the Farm Crest Chapel with further services at 9:30 a.m. at the Weaver Pike Mennonite Church, 28th Division Highway, Earl Township. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
