Marcilene Sweigart Pryor, 79, formerly of Ephrata, enjoyed sailing, spending time with family

Marcilene Sweigart Pryor, 79, formerly of Ephrata, passed from this life Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015. She was a resident of Columbia, Md., since 1973.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William “Billy” Sweigart and Olive Sweigart (Martin). Her husband of 49 years, Frederick M. Pryor, preceded her in death, as did her sister Pauline Schellhase.

Marcilene is survived by her children: Kim J., married to Michael McKindles, of Chatham, Ill.; Dean F., married to Heather (Kutz) Pryor, of Columbia, Md.; Alan W. of Woodbridge, Va. She is also survived by her sister: Shelbie Mumma of Ephrata; and seven grandchildren: Lindsay, Bradley and Whitney Pryor; Jonathan and Jessica McKindles; and Lucas and Jackson Pryor; and two great-grandchildren: Everly Pryor and Laven Balent.

She enjoyed and cherished her family and friends remembering many laughs, celebrations and good times. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, reading, sailing and eating crabs by the Chesapeake Bay.

To honor her last request; there will be no formal service. A dinner in her honor will be planned at a later date.

Cremation was accorded by Maryland Cremation Services.
