Melanie G. Sauder, 60, Eagle Rentals salesperson, enjoyed motorcycling, gardening

Melanie G. Sauder, 60, of Akron, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017, at home.

She was born in Lancaster to the late Robert and Kathleen L. (Patterson) Frymyer, and was the wife of Melvin E. Sauder Jr., with whom she shared nine years of marriage.

Melanie was a salesperson for the party division of Eagle Rentals. She was dedicated to her family. She loved gardening, motorcycle rides and reading.

In addition to her husband, Melanie is survived by two daughters: Renee M., wife of Stephen Zimmerman of Ephrata; Nicole J., wife of Ricky Tapias of York; a stepson: Gregory S. Sauder of Narvon; four grandchildren: McKenzie, Cohen, Joey, Brenna; a brother: Terry Frymyer of Ephrata; and two sisters: Diane, wife of Ted Stehman of Arnot; Deborah, wife of Dr. Theodore Croll of Doylestown.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a stepdaughter: Amanda Sauder.

A memorial service was held Nov. 20 at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, with Pastor Rob Eshelman officiating. Interment was in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
