Nelson T. Ulrich, Korean War Purple Heart recipient

Nelson T. Ulrich, 84, of East Cocalico Township, Denver, died Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, in Maple Farm Nursing Center, Akron. Born in Ephrata Township, a son of the late Alvin and Stella (Ludwig) Ulrich, he was the husband of Virginia L. (Keller) Ulrich for 59 years. Nelson was a Korean War Purple Heart recipient in the army and an avid car enthusiast.

Also surviving are sons: Donald (Linda) Ulrich and Michael (Lauri) Ulrich, both of Denver; grandchildren: Zachary, Kyle, Jackee, Dylan, Samantha and Cole and sisters: Fay Daub and Janet (Harold) Bauman. He was predeceased by sisters: Hazel Rogers and Gloria Foote.
