Nicholas Malizia Sr., 77, veteran, corporate trainer

Nicholas A. Malizia Sr., 77, of Ephrata, formerly of Philadelphia, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011 at Life Care Hospital in West Chester.

He was the husband of Bernice T. (VanSant) Malizia and son of the late Peter and Rose Malizia.

Nicholas was a U.S. Army veteran and was formerly employed as a corporate trainer at Stroehmann Bakeries in Horsham.

He loved golfing and camping and his beloved cat Albert.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Andrea DeFelice, of Downingtown; Cathleen Cionci, of Ardmore; and Rosemary, wife of Luciano Marucci, of Hatfield; a son: Nicholas A. Malizia Jr., of Columbia; nine grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; four sisters: Loretta Zuski, of Warrington; Maria Gross, of Ambler; Connie Hoch, of Harrisburg; and Irene Lojeski, of Glenside; and a brother: John Malizia, of Chalfont.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Mother Of Perpetual Help Church, 320 Church Ave., Ephrata, on Oct. 7 at 11 a.m.

Services are under the care of Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Ephrata.
