Pauline E. Miller, Ephrata Class of ‘51 grad, office manager, enjoyed Aruba vacations

Pauline E. Vollenweider Miller passed away peacefully in her home in Lancaster Thursday, Dec. 25, 2014.

Born in Syracuse, New York June 17, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Rose Vollenweider. She was also the loving wife of Donald E. Miller to whom she was married for 62 years.

Pauline was a 1951 Ephrata High School graduate and also attended some college classes which would later help her in her many years working as a secretary and office manager.

Pauline was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, reading, bingo, cards and Sudoku puzzles. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, especially to their favorite vacation spot in Aruba where they enjoyed spending time on the beach. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, Pauline is survived by two sons: Craig and his wife Robin Miller of Virginia, and Mark and his wife Jackie Miller of Mount Joy; two grandsons: Josh and Joel Miller, and one great-granddaughter; three brothers: Bernie, Bill and Eddie; and two sisters: Elsie and Rosie.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth, in 1956.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. at Conestoga Memorial Park, 95 Second Lock Road, Lancaster followed by a luncheon at Calvary Baptist Church, 530 Milton Road, Lancaster.

If desired, contributions may be made in Pauline’s memory to Calvary Baptist Church.
