Pauline Nissly Emsing, 97, homemaker, worked for F & M Hat Co., avid Phillies fan

Pauline Nissly Emsing, 97, of York, formerly of Denver, passed away Monday, June 6, 2016, at Senior Care on Market Street, formerly Autumn House East, in York.

She was born in Denver to the late Ralph and Edna (Meckley) Nissly, and was the wife of Donald Emsing, who died in 2003.

Pauline was a graduate of Denver High School. In the earlier years, Pauline worked as a packer for F & M Hat Co., of Denver, and was also a homemaker. She was a member of the Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, and was an avid Phillies fan.

Pauline is survived by a son: James, husband of Joan (Binner) Emsing, of York; two granddaughters: Shari Smith of West Chester, and Julie Mann of Steelstown; and two great-granddaughters: Katelyn and Brittany Smith.

She was preceded in death by a sister: Louise Nissly.

Services were held June 10 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver, with Pastor Joseph Veres officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.
