Ray D. Gunzenhauser, 87, formerly of Akron, Army/Navy vet, Alcoa worker, VFW member

Ray D. Gunzenhauser, 87, of Manor Care Health Services, Elizabethtown, formerly of Akron, died Sunday, July 5, 2015, at his residence.

Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Gladys Henderson Gunzenhauser.

He served in the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army. He worked as a machine set-up man at Alcoa and retired in 1986. He was a member of the Ephrata VFW and the Lancaster American Legion Post 34.

He is survived by a sister: Roberta M. Schuler; and a brother: Robert G. Gunzenhauser.

His funeral service will be private, and he will be interred in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

Furman’s Funeral Home, Leola, had charge of the arrangements.
