Reuben B. Weaver, 95, self-employed carpenter, member of Bowmansville Mennonite

Reuben B. Weaver, 95, of East Earl, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018 at his home.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie M. (Shirk) Weaver in 2007. Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Noah and Onea (Bare) Weaver.

Reuben was a self-employed carpenter during his working years and a member of Bowmansville Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.

Surviving are three children: Benjamin, married to Ruth Ann Weaver, East Earl; Esther, married to Ervin Martin, East Earl; Enos, married to Dorothy Weaver, Lewistown; a son-in-law: Ivan Brubaker, East Earl; 23 grandchildren; 80 great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Jason Weaver, Fleetwood; Eugene Weaver, Orrstown; Selestia Weaver, Elkton, Ky.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a daughter: Mary Brubaker; his twin brother: Rufus; and 11 other siblings: Harvey, Raymond, Milton, Myrtle Weaver, Lydia Heil, Mabel Hoover, Alma Sauder, Nancy Shirk, Esther Brubaker, and Margaret Weaver.

Services were Jan. 15 at Bowmansville Mennonite Church, with Bishop Elam Zimmerman officiating. Interment was in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
