Reuben H. Weaver, 85, farmer, tractor salesman, enjoyed playing guitar, harmonica
Reuben H. Weaver, 85, of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in Stevens to the late Reuben and Martha (Horst) Weaver, and was the husband of Ella H. (Wenger) Weaver, with whom he shared 67 years of marriage.
He was a member of Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church.
Reuben was a lifelong dedicated farmer; and was a talented salesman who bought, repaired and sold Allis-Chalmers tractors. He loved to play his guitar while also playing his harmonica, performing for family and for events. Reuben’s strong faith in the Lord was very important to him and it was his passion to share his testimony with others.
In addition to his wife, Reuben is survived by three daughters: Josie, wife of Mike Wenger, of East Earl; Janis, wife of Brian Preheim, of Ephrata; Jill, wife of Angelo Miele, of Elizabethtown; eight grandchildren: John, husband of Dr. Katie Keown Wenger; Sarah, wife of Justin Hange; Josh, husband of Kendi Wenger; Rachel Wenger; Mathew Preheim; Tom Miele; Ben Miele; and Frank Miele; our great-granddaughters: Charlotte Hange, Kallie Jo Wenger, Adelaide Hange, and Emma Wenger; two brothers; and four sisters.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Reuben W. Weaver; and five siblings.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 13, from 6 to 8 p.m., at the Ephrata Bible Fellowship Church, 491 Peach Road, Ephrata. An additional viewing will take place Friday, April 14, from 10 to 11 a.m., at the church, followed by funeral services at 11 a.m., with Pastor Jason L. Hoy officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
