Richard A. Jackson, 84, formerly of Ephrata, served in Air National Guard, mechanical tech

Richard A. Jackson, 84, of Wyomissing, formerly of Ephrata and North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, at the Reading Hospital.

He was born in Turtle Creek, to the late Carl and Frances Matilda (Breuhm) Jackson.

Richard had worked as a mechanical technician for Westinghouse Electric and most recently security at the St. Joseph Hospital, Reading. He served in the Air National Guard as a weatherman. Richard was an avid antique car enthusiast.

He is survived by a son: T. Scott, husband of Karen M. Jackson of Akron; a granddaughter: Jenny Jackson; and a sister: Emily Gracia of Ill.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother,: Carl Thomas Jackson.

Services were held Nov. 11 at Stradling Funeral Home, Akron, with Rev. Chris Leiby officiating. Interment was in the Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, Irwin.
