Richard H. ‘Bud’ Loose, 86, High Concrete patcher, enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards
Richard H. “Bud” Loose, 86, of Denver, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at Wellspan Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was born in Schoeneck to the late Ivan Loose and Edna Hertzog, and was the husband of Mary E. (Martzall) Loose, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Prior to retiring in 2001, Richard worked as a concrete patcher for High Concrete. He was a member of Muddy Creek Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, and spending time with family, especially his grandkids and great-grandkids.
In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by four children: Leon, husband of Getha Loose, of Ocala, Fla.; Cindy, wife of Tom Ebersole, of Schoeneck; Ricky, husband of Ginny Loose, of Ephrata; and David, husband of Jo Loose, of Denver; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; and a half-sister.
Services were held Feb. 20 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver, with the Rev. Timothy L. Craven officiating. Interment took place in the Muddy Creek Cemetery.
