Ricky Rhodes, 55, veteran Alcoa worker, truck driver

Ricky L. Rhodes, 55, of Ephrata, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mt. Joy after a lengthy illness.

He was the husband of Cynthia R. (McIntyre) Rhodes for 32 years. Born in Lancaster, Ricky was the son of Paul B. and Barbara A. (McCarty) Rhodes.

Ricky was a Manheim Central High School graduate and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for Alcoa Aluminum Company in Lancaster and was also a truck driver. He was a member of AMVETS Post 136 in Ephrata, Elstonville Sportsmen’s Club and Dela-Ches Fishing Association. Ricky loved being with his family and was an avid fisherman and hunter.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter: Jennifer Teal, of Stillwater, Okla; a son: Christopher Rhodes, of Ephrata; and two sisters: Linda, wife of Steve Garrison, and Sharon Rhodes, and a brother: Frank, husband of Doris Rhodes, all of Manheim.

Services are under the care of Paul L. Gravenor Home For Funerals, Ephrata, and will be private at the convenience of the family.
