Robert K. Sloan, 81, Korean War Navy vet, L. J. Stephens & Sons mechanic
Robert K. Sloan, 81, formerly of Denver and Springfield, died Feb. 10, 2017, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Born in Roxborough, a son of the late John G. and Mary (McElhanny) Sloan, he was married to Edna R. (Willard) Sloan for 58 years.
A 1954 graduate of Roxborough High School, Philadelphia, he was a Korean War Navy veteran and worked as a maintenance mechanic for L.J. Stephens and Sons, Essington.
Also surviving is a daughter: Karen G., married to Keith Jackson, Rose Valley; four grandchildren; and a sister: Alice Sloan, Lansdale.
He was predeceased by siblings: Jeanette Pater and John “Jack” Sloan.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 1 p.m., in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, 352 S. Gulph Road, King of Prussia.
