Rose Marie Graham, 85, formerly of Ephrata, worked at Lititz Family Practice, active in church

Rose Marie Graham, 85, of Lititz, and formerly of Ephrata, died on Friday, March 23, 2018 at United Zion Retirement Community.

Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Edwin E. Getz and Katie E. Givler Getz. Rose Marie was happily married to Charles E. Graham for 53 years, who preceded her in death. Her sister: Arlene Althouse; brother: Edwin A. Getz; and her eldest son: Kyle Douglas Graham, also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons: Philip Daryl, husband of Leslie McCarthy Graham; and Michael Dennis, husband of Lori Tartler Graham; and four grandchildren: Ryan, Adam, Ethan, and Katiie.

Rose Marie worked for 25 years at Lititz Family Practice as an office assistant and 20 years for H. Richard Neidermyer, Inc. Prior to that, she worked for Althouse, Martin, and Associates.

Rose Marie was a faithful member of St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, Lititz where she served on Consistory, sang in the choir, taught several Sunday school classes, was the financial secretary for many years, volunteered with the Lunch with Luke program from its inception, and served on the Endowment and the Altar Committees.

Rose Marie was a member of the Lititz American Business Women’s Association (ABWA) and volunteered with Meals on Wheels in Lititz for several years. An avid reader and card player, she also enjoyed traveling, visiting many Caribbean countries.

In her later years, Rose Marie lived in a cottage at the United Zion Retirement Community (UZRC) with her husband, Charlie. Rose Marie was involved with a number of activities at the UZRC such as Prim and Pamper, taking care of the card section in the gift store, and serving many years as the librarian. She kept very much involved with these activities until she became a patient in the skilled care unit under hospice and was unable to function in these capacities.

Rose Marie’s family will receive friends at St. Luke’s United Church of Christ, 222 N. Broad St., Lititz, on Thursday, March 29, from 10:30 a.m. until noon. Funerals services officiated by the Reverend Dr. James Haun will begin at noon, followed by interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata.
