Ruth H. Eshleman, 97, Ephrata, worked for Walter W. Moyer, enjoyed traveling, baking

Ruth H. Eshleman, 97, of Ephrata, went home to heaven Monday, Feb. 2, 2015, from Ephrata Manor.
She was born in East Petersburg on July 31, 1917. She was the daughter of the late David and Minnie (Hostetter) Yost. Married on March 15, 1974, she was the wife of the late Melvin Eshleman who went home in 2009.
Ruth was retired from the Walter W. Moyer Co. and faithfully attended the Akron Bible Baptist Church. Ruth enjoyed traveling, crossword puzzles, reading, playing cards, playing bingo, baking, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by a son: Daniel J, husband of Jackie Hagy of Ephrata; three daughters: Sandra J. Noll; Darlene R. Williamson; and Mary M., wife of Roy Latshaw; all of Ephrata; two stepdaughters: Shirley, wife of Don Harach of Leola; and Beverly, wife of Bob Zwally of Akron; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and her sister: Louisa Bennetch of Connecticut.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings: Noah, Elmer, and David Yost, Kathryn Knauer, Elsie Fasnacht, Irene Riehl, and Minnie Wenger.
Her family loves her and will miss her so much. She was a woman with a sweet and generous spirit, a wonderful sense of humor and of fun, and she had a loving and positive attitude. We thank her for the Christian example she set and for touching our lives for eternity.
Services were held Feb. 7 at Akron Bible Baptist Church, with Pastor George Frantz officiating.
Arrangements by Stradling Funeral Homes, Inc., Akron/Ephrata. Online condolences may be given at stradlingfuneralhome.com.
