Ruth H. Martin, 90, Fairmount Homes nurse’s aide, Groffdale Mennonite member

Ruth H. Martin, 90, of Ephrata, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, in the loving care of the staff at the Lincoln Christian Home.

She was born in Ephrata to the late Titus B. and Emaline (Hoover) Martin.

She was a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Weaverland Conference. Ruth was formerly employed by Ephrata Hospital as a nurse’s aide and then by Fairmount Homes for many years.

Ruth is survived by two brothers: Henry H. Martin of Ephrata; Paul H., husband of Anna Mae Martin of Manheim; three sisters: Emma Martin, Ida Wenger, Etta Martin; and a sister-in-law: Mabel Martin, all of Ephrata; 41 nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Frank and Titus Martin; two sisters: Esther and Anna Martin; two brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.

Services were held Jan. 18 at Groffdale Mennonite Church, West Earl Township, with Bishop Curvin Zimmerman officiating. Interment followed in the adjoining church cemetery. Kindly omit flowers.
