S. Norma Weaver, 83, Shady Maple Cafeteria worker, homemaker and mother of five

S. Norma Weaver, 83, formerly of Goodville, passed away Monday, May 22, 2017, at Lincoln Christian Home, Ephrata.

She was born in West Earl Township on Aug. 20, 1933, daughter of the late Amos S. and Eva M. (Fox) Groff. She was the wife of the late Levi E. Weaver, who died Dec. 27, 1991.

She was a member of the Valley View Mennonite Church. Norma was a homemaker and was employed part time by Shady Maple Cafeteria for more than 20 years.

Norma is survived by four sons and a daughter: Vernon E., husband of Rhoda (Good) Weaver, of Stevens; Galen R., husband of Rosalie (Miller) Weaver, of Martinsburg; Clair R., husband of Ruthann (Burkholder) Weaver, of Altona, Manitoba (Canada); Gerald L., husband of Kaylene (Boll) Weaver, of Lebanon; Carolyn M., wife of Joel Bair, of New Oxford; 29 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; three brothers: Irwin, husband of Joyce (Snavely) (Hershey) Groff, of Lititz; Harold, husband of Anna Mary (Lapp) Groff, of Lancaster; John, husband of Carol (Good) Groff, of Ephrata; two sisters: Mary Ella Groff of Ephrata; and Grace, wife of Harvey E. Martin, of Orrstown.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson: Jordan Dale Weaver; a granddaughter: Kaela Jean Weaver; a brother: Clarence Groff; and a sister-in-law: Mary Jane (Hershey) Groff.

Services were held May 29 at Valley View Mennonite Church, with Bishop Harold Good officiating. Interment was in the Centerville Mennonite Church Cemetery, Martindale. Kindly omit flowers.
