Sandra S. ‘Sandy’ Boose, 71, Cocalico grad, Science Press proofreader, bus trip organizer

Sandra S. “Sandy” Boose, 71, Ephrata, died Jan. 28, 2017, at Keystone Villa of Ephrata.
Born in Ephrata, a daughter of the late Harvey B. and Frances E. (Garman) Boose, she was a member of Grace Point Church of the Nazarene, Ephrata.
A 1963 Cocalico High School graduate, she received her teaching certificate for Millersville State College and worked as a proofreader for Science Press/Tapsco/Cadmus, Ephrata. Sandy ran bus trips in the local area as Turtle Trotters and volunteered with Relay for Life. An avid reader, she collected turtles, Hummels, and Longaberger baskets.
Surviving is her sister: Dorinda A. (Stephen L.) Warner, Lakeville, Minn.; brother-in-law: Joel E. (Dorothy I.) Lindberg, Ephrata; niece: Joelane Lindberg; nephew: Robin (Pam) Lindberg; and her dearest friend: Bonnie E. (Terry L.) Seidel, Ephrata.
A sister, Kathryn H. Lindberg, predeceased her.
A visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 3, from 11 a.m. to noon, from Good Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, Reamstown, with a memorial service at noon, with Pastor Ken Higginbotham officiating.
