Shirley Ann Fox, 77, Akron Restaurant waitress, enjoyed crafting, time with family

Shirley Ann Fox, 77, Ephrata, went to be with the Lord Dec. 10, 2016, in her residence.

Born in Cumru Township, Berks County, a daughter of the late Samuel and Lulu E. (Ziemer) Styer, she was married 59 years to Willis H. Fox.

An active member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Congregational Church, she was a waitress at the former Akron Restaurant. Shirley cherished family times, especially at the mountains, nursing home visits, sharing meals, and crafts.

Also surviving are children: Yvonne (Curt) Bergman, Adamstown; John (Pam) Fox, Frystown; and Kirk (Becky) Fox, Reinholds; grandchildren: Shane, Josh, Jeremy, Cody, Hunter, Jaclyn, and Broc; great-grandchildren: Elaina and Brantley; sisters: Marie Cooper and Violet Fox; and brothers: Richard Styer and Earl “Bobby” Styer.

She was predeceased by her siblings: Mary May Styer, Betty Goldsboro, Catherine Kiefer, “Tootie” Kiefer, and George Styer.

The visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service at 1 p.m., from St. Paul’s E. C. Church, 46 E. Church St., Reamstown. The Rev. Kirk R. Marks will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sinking Spring.
