Susanna Mae Henly, 102, formerly of Ephrata, was cook at Owls Hotel and dog groomer

Susanna Mae Keller Henly, 102, formerly of Ephrata, died Saturday Nov. 8, 2014, in Lancashire Hall, Neffsville.

Born in Akron, a daughter of the late Harvey and Margie (Messner) Smith, she was the widow of John Keller and Arthur Henly.

Susanna was the cook at the former Owls Hotel, Ephrata, and a dog groomer for many years. She loved animals, crocheting and dolls.

Surviving is her daughter: Virgina L. Ulrich; grandsons: Michael, husband of Loria (Frain) Ulrich; and Donald, husband of Linda (Smith) Ulrich, all of Denver; and six great-grandchildren: Zachary, Kyle, Samantha, Jackie, Dylan and Cole.

She was predeceased by sisters: Myrtle Boose, Dorothy Booth and Catherine Johe.

Inurnment was private in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Ephrata. Rather than flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
