Thelma E. Walmer, 83, Denver, worked at Hemmerich Industries, enjoyed bingo, puzzles

Thelma E. (Darkes) Walmer, 83, of Denver, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2014, at home.

She was born in Lebanon to the late Wayne and Mary (Houtz) Darkes and was the wife of the late Donald H. Walmer who passed away in 2012.

During her working years she was employed with Hemmerich Industries in Denver. She enjoyed sewing, bingo, crocheting, reading and putting puzzles together.

She is survived by two sons: Donald E., husband of Kim (Frantz) Walmer of Narvon; Brian K., husband of Patti (Kauffman) Walmer of Ephrata; two daughters: Angie S., wife of Jeff Groff of Denver; and Wendy J., wife of Klint Auker of Denver; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth W., husband of Mary Darkes of Lebanon; and Wayne E., husband of Nadine Darkes of Lebanon.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son: Craig A. Walmer.

Services were held Nov. 10 at Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, Denver. Interment was in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
