Thomas Ira Wenger, 54, Ephrata native, Prudhomme’s cook, enjoyed music, PSU football

Thomas Ira Wenger, 54, of Columbia, died peacefully at home, Saturday, July 25, 2015.

Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Ira Wenger Jr. and the late Dorothy (Derr) Wenger Simonetti.

Tom was a cook for Prudhomme’s Lost Cajun Kitchen in Columbia. He enjoyed cooking, and listening to music. He had a love for animals, and was an avid Penn State football fan.

Tom is survived by his daughter: Katherine A. Wenger of Virginia; his siblings: Suzanne, wife of Jim Bomgardner, of Ephrata; Pam, wife of Ron Stefanacci, of Virginia; Gina, wife of Mike Devlin, of Centerville; Scott, husband of Jan Wenger, of Ephrata; Sydney, husband of Judy Wenger, of Leola; and his beloved granddaughter: Aubrie Budzinski.

Private services for Tom will be held at the convenience of the family.
