Valetta G. Snader, 90, formerly of Ephrata, Oregon Dairy baker, Sunday School teacher

Valetta G. Snader, 90, formerly of Ephrata, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Landis Homes, Lititz, where she resided for the past 15 years.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Mabel (Balmer) High. Her husband of 55 years, Carl E. Snader, passed away in 2000.

She had worked for 25 years at Oregon Dairy in the bakery department and later she worked merchandising samples. Mrs. Snader was a member of Calvary Church of Lancaster where she taught primary Sunday School and the Good News Club. She enjoyed playing cards with friends, camping, traveling, and Southern gospel music.

Valetta is survived by her children: Audrey M., married to Jesse G. Epps Jr., of Mount Joy; and Barry J., married to Sharon (Kurtz) Snader, of Lititz; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Her sister, Bernice Leaman, preceded her in death.

Services were held Aug. 6 at Calvary Church, Lancaster. She was interred in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff from Ephrata House at Landis Homes for the wonderful care Mrs. Snader received.
