Vernon C. Leed, 82, Army vet, Ross Technology welder, driver, loved hunting, his pickup truck

Vernon C. Leed, 82, of New Holland, passed away on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017.

He was the loving husband of Wanda L. (Royer) Leed, and son of the late Chester W. and Irene C. (Crowther) Leed.

Vernon was a member of the New Holland Church of the Nazarene and was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked as a welder and truck driver for Ross Technology Corporation in Leola. Vernon loved to hunt, and especially loved his pickup truck.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Missy, wife of Scott Hinerdeer of Ephrata; and Wendy Leed of New Holland; four grandsons; two sisters: Joanne, wife of Donald Klopp of Ephrata; and Betty, wife of Vernon Ream of Elizabethtown; and one brother: Sidney Leed, husband of Cathy, of Ephrata.

Services were held at Gravenor Home for Funerals, Ephrata, on Nov. 1, with Revs. Steve Kindt and Ken Mingledorff officiating. He was interred in Akron Lutheran Cemetery.
