Vernon Earl Schware, 80, Reamstown COG member, Rigidply Rafters, Nolt’s worker

Vernon Earl Schware, 80, of Myerstown, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, Aug. 18, 2017.

He was the husband of Shirley F. Burks Schware. He was born in Reading on June 11, 1937, a son of the late Earl D. and Edna M. Groh Schware.

He retired from Rigidply Rafters Inc., in Richland, and later worked part-time for Nolt’s Auto Parts in Myerstown. He was a member of the Reamstown Church of God and enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and golfing. Vernon especially loved engaging in various activities with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children: Christine, wife of Nelson Weaver; Kenneth Schware and fiancée Priscilla Muzzy; Kevin, husband of Kimberly Schware; Corinne Mentzer; Jace, husband of Nicole Schware; grandchildren: Jessica Good; David Good; Cody, and wife Paige Schware; Kelsey Troutman; Amanda Hess; Daniel Edwards; Abigael Schware; Johnathon Demmy; Zachory Schware; Casey Hoyer; and Austin Mace; 10 great-grandchildren; and three nieces.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, Aug. 25, at 11 a.m., at Reamstown Church of God, 400 Pfautz Hill Road, Stevens. Interment will be made in the Millbach Cemetery. There will be a viewing on Aug. 24, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Aug. 25, from 10 to 11 a.m., both at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Reamstown Church of God Building Fund, 400 Pfautz Hill Road, Stevens, PA 17578; or Lebanon Rescue Mission, 1223 Bittner Blvd., Lebanon, PA 17046.
